MCE remote is dead (again)

Last weekend my new MCE remote seemed to shut down. No more lights when you pressed a button and it stopped sending IR signals. And yes, i did try changing the batteries! It came back to life in a couple of hours but yesterday it gave up again and still won't come back to life. It's almost as though i have pressed a combination of buttons that has caused it to shut itself down (the IR receiver is fine by the way). Has anyone else had this problem? If not then i guess it needs to go back to the shop . . .

Just to let you all know this is a known issue. You can read about it here . . .

The ridiculous workaround is to take the batteries out and then either wait for half an hour, or drain the capacitor (which you can do by connecting the + and - with silver foil)

Does anyone know the best way to moan to Microsoft about this?

That is very interesting because I seem to be forever changing the batteries on mine, I thought it was because it lights up it just used up batteries quickly... I even bought a battery tester to see if they really are dead when it goes again next time... thanks for the info I will explore that link.
