Can your machine run x64?

If so you install it exactly the same way as x86. When installing you can format your hard drive when the option where to install comes up. All you have to do is pick advanced options. Then format. And install as normal.

Yup it would get rid of everything, like all reformats do.
That PC should run x64 windows well, and the installation and setup are exactly the same. Welcome to the world of x64!
