Maximum wpa2 key?

I use WPA2-PSK on my home network with a 63 digit code.

My new wii will not look at a key that length - I've eventually got it online with a 13 digit key - is that the most it can handle?

My 2 pc's and laptop run without a hitch on Channel 6 via my Voyager - [there are 4 other networks nearby on 1/7/9 and 11 - so staying on channel 6 is best for me].

Can't find any reference to key length on the wii manual/online help.

Regards

Homer

Re: Maximum wpa2 key?

63 digits? Seems excessively long to me.

FYI, The Wii supports WPA2 - PSK (AES) and not WPA2 - PSK (TKIP) - might be the problem.

Re: Maximum wpa2 key?

Sorry for the late reply - been away for a few days celebrating Hogmanay

63 digits was what I got via an online 'key creator' - easy enough to copy and paste - not so easy typing that in via the Wii keyboard [especially when it fails at the Testing Connection stage ]

It took 13 OK with WPA2-AES.

May try to increase it - but I suppose it's as secure as I probably need.

Happy New Year

Homer

Re: Maximum wpa2 key?

I had this problem and my Wii only accepted 13 characters. It's enough though
