Re: Wii Play

The reason there is a shortage of wii play is because there is a shortage of wii remotes. The game itself is easy to produce, but unless it has a wii remote with it they cant sell it.

Funnily enough my local gamestation has stackfuls of wii plays this morning. Suspect they are sold out now tho. (Southend Branch)

You only other choice is to buy the bundle offer on Game with Mario Galaxy (best game on wii)

Unfortunately though, the wii remote situation will probabaly last as long as the wii stock shortages.

Good luck.

Re: Wii Play

Hi I was hunting all over for it, I eventually got one by ordering off Amazon.de.
I ordered Wii Play and a Nunchuk for about £45 delivered.

Why don't you try there

Re: Wii Play

Check out your local Blockbuster on Saturday mornings - mine had 3 Wii Plays at 10.30am. They were still available at 2pm this afternoon.

Suppose it depends which part of the UK you're in.

I suggest you phone the second they open and ask them to put one aside for you. They had around 10 - 12 behind the counter at around 2pm today.

Cant think what time they open. Might be 11am on Sunday. You can find their number on the gamestation website.

Goodluck and let me know if you get one!

EDIT: Here is there number: 01702 617333
Phone before going in. They will put one aside for you no problems and might save a wasted journey. And pck up one of them German sausages from the market in town! Bloody nice they are!

amazon.fr were selling them yesterday - and you can order the Play and Wiimote for UK delivery, unlike the console.

Re: wii remote/wii play

Hello all - long time reader, first time poster.

I've just got back from HMV on Bond Street (opposite the tube entrance - not the Oxford Street branch) with Wii Play (and its extra controller). They had a full shelf at 12.30pm and are selling at £34.95.

Hope this helps someone. Now... just to find the console!

Re: Wii Play

HMV and Gamestation had these in stock in Southend no problems at all.

There has DEFINATELY been a big shipment of these into the country. I suspect people will start being able to pick these up shortly.

Anyone buying these to sell be weary, because I think the supply is coming in.

Re: Wii Play

Wii Play is pretty mediocre. The only good reason for buying it is for the second remote. You won't get more than a few minutes of fun from most of the games, although Laser Hockey is quite neat.

Re: Wii Play

I like most of the Wii Play games. MUCH better in 2 player. The match-the-Mii game is great, esp when you've got a few friend's Mii's set up and they pop up in the game. The weird rotate-the-man-to-fit-the-silhouette-in-the-bubble game can be quite manic in 2 player too.

And yes, cow racing makes me laugh too :D.

It's certainly worth the extra 2-5 quid it costs over the price of a the Wiimote anyway.
