balance board battery not charging

just tried charging a madcatz balance board battery and intially the light came on but when i tried it the wii says the batteries need replacing

any one had similar problems and is it a return to seller job

Sounds like a return to shop jobbie to me. I have a rechargeable pack on my wii fit board and it's never done that.
