Yes you can use the classic controller with this game although to be honest, the remote and nunchuck option is very easy to use. Seeing as the game is more like an arcade style football game, rather than a proper sim like other Fifa games or PES, then I wouldn't expect too much realism from it. The emphasis is more on fun and scoring ridiculous goals than anything else.
