Wii Connectivity to Plasma - what's best?

Hi, just wondering what's the best way to connect the Wii to an AV set-up.

1. Scart to TV
2. Component to TV
3. Or somehow via the AV Reciever

I have a Pioneer plasma and HD Reciever.

Thanks

Re: Wii Connectivity to Plasma - what's best?

Hi, I have mine connected via component to amp with L/R audio into amp aswell.
Then from amp via HDMI to tv, just so it cuts down on cabling going to the tv.
If doing it this way make sure the amps picture processing is switched to off or source direct (can't remember which one!!) and let the tv do the upscaling as find this is alot better picture.
Cheers
Russ

It depends if your AV receiver or TV is a better upscaler. But connect via component.

I connect to my 5090 by component, it's clearly better than composite (not tried RGB). Apparently it runs at 60Hz if you use component, but only 50Hz with other connection types.

Looks good too, despite being only 480P.

Make sure you get the official (overpriced) Nintendo component cable though.

RGB SCART should also give you 60Hz.

Re: Wii Connectivity to Plasma - what's best?

I run component from my Wii to my AV receiver, then run HDMI to my projector. It looks great on my Wii.

I like just having a single cable going to my projector. My receiver converts everything to HDMI.
