I dont own any of the Rockband or Guitar Hero games but I would like to give Beatles Rockband a go, I only require 1 guitar. Which is the best guitar to buy fro the wii for Beatles rockband? Links appreciated if possible.

well as far as im aware the rockband guitar is not compatible with the guitar hero tange of games whereas the beatles rock band game will also accept the guitar hero guitars. So it seems sensible in the long run to get something like the guitar hero les paul.

I bought the beatles rock band value band pack which is fab but unfortunately if and when i get any of the guitar hero games I will need to buy all new instruments

So it looks like Guitar Hero III onwards is the best way to go as you only lose out on the orginal Rockband

I got 2nd hand GH:world tour Wii guitar to use with Rockband:Beatles today from CEX in Coventry for £25.

Also GuitarHeroIII with guitar is on offer at £29.99 in HMV.

I've played a fair few of the games and used the various instruments and can honestly say the best guitar IMO is the GH3 Les Paul controller.

However, the GH:World Tour guitar has the touch sensitive slide section in it which can be used in certain sections of songs on the newer GH games. It is not compulsary to use it though and whilst I HAVE used it, I prefer not to.

To summarise, I don't think there's a better all rounder than the GH3 Les Paul.
