Internet Channel now free

Nintendo have made the Internet Channel free.
Those who bought it are now compensated with a Virtual Console game worth 500 points

TBH I'm not sure. Wikipedia seems to suggest that you'll be compensated in October, whereas other websites say you can already get your free game now

I'm sure that by now you've all had the blue flashing slot and the message that an updated version is available to existing owners of the browser?

I've downloaded it and it is sooooooooooo much quicker and snappier than the previous version. Apparently it also has a much newer version of flash too.

Worth the time for a much improved surfing experience.

I haven't tried it myself but a few people are saying that the iPlayer does not work with the newest browser .. .. .. ..

Yep. I came on here to find out why the iPlayer doesn't work anymore. Good job they are giving me 500 points back as the iPlayer is the only reason I got the internet channel.

Fortunately the PS3 update has made it work like a charm on there.

My I-player is not working now either, just getting the swirling dots.
Has anyone who has updated their player got it working? I understand people who have installed as new have it working normally?!

Where did you hear that Giblet?

From what I've read on my search across the web, iPlayer doesn't work for anybody on the new version of the Internet Channel.

I'm highly annoyed that I updated. Sure I can watch the embedded videos on the BBC website now, which is a nice addition to have, but I'd much rather have the iPlayer back
