| Wii audio a no go
well this is my second thread here
and its also about the wii Wii hd audio
in my first thread
i asked how to get the best audio on the wii with a sound system
i did as i was adviced
and now i realize i got the same result with the digital coaxical cable
let me elaborate
before i went out and bought the twin thingy to extend the 2 sound cables and another pair of red and white's to plug into the second aux port into the amp
so now i try it out
but i get the same result as before
my sound system has 3 settings
stereo
auto
multi-channel
you see whenever i play my 360 i set it to auto and it says dolby surround sth and if i choose multi channel it says the same
so i get reassurance i choose right
but with the wii
when i choose auto it still stays at stereo
and only when i choose multi channel does it say dolby prologic 2
funny thing is i don't trust that
since i run off media from my usb all the time and even than when i play them in the multi channel mode it says dolbly prologic when clear what i am running can't be like a stupid song or vid
i think its forced or sth
and this same result is what i used to get with the wii when i ran all 5 component cables to the back of the tv and then used a digital coaxical cable from the tv to the amp
so i get same result in both cases
i mean am i doing sth wrong
is this the way its supposed to be
and did i just waste my time by buying more cables
thanks to anyone for any info for this
