Wii connection to bang and olufsen TV

Hi all,

please could someone help...I've connected wii to my old bang and olufsen tv BUT it doesn't pick up the channel.

I had Sky & DVD connect to it and if you switch the power on for either...it picks up the channel. BUT same way when I did for wii, it doesn't.

The TV has 2 scart socket however neither tv or remote has any option to chosse either AV1 or AV2??

Anyone knows how to? Would appreciate any help.

I find it hard to believe that neither the TV nor remote have an option to choose the A/V channels. The remote should have it.

Are you using a proper scart cable for the Wii or the included composite cable ( red, white and yellow ) with a scart block/adapter ? If you're using the composite cable with the block/adapter it's not going to be detected by the TV automatically as it's not a true scart connection. You need to be using a proper Wii scart cable.

I'm sure you'd have noticed but does the remote perhaps have a button with a logo like a little square with an arrow inside(source button). As Moogle suggests it seems hard to believe there is no AV button.

Re: Wii connection to bang and olufsen TV

Hi Moogle/Tetlee,

Many thanks for your speedy reply and suggestions. I've not had much time to look into it but will have another go this weekend. I've also managed to retrive manual of remote from the web http://www.bang-olufsen.com/UserFile...glish_(UK).pdf.

@Moogle, yes I was using the composite cable with the scart block/adapter, so now make sense why it didn't pick up as you mentioned it's not a true scart connection. I'll have another look to see if it came with other cable etc.

Thanks again for your help. Regards, Buz

Re: Wii connection to bang and olufsen TV

The Wii only comes with a composite cable and scart adapter. The proper scart cable is optional and sold separately.

Re: Wii connection to bang and olufsen TV

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem as Buz. I have a Bang Olfuson and my wii won't show on the screen. How exactly did you fix the problem? It's beginning to drive me crazy?!
