Wii froze 1st time :(

Hey there guys im abit worried about my wii. After having a game of no more heroes i left my wii on the system menu for 45 mins doing nothing. So anyways went into the news menu to read the news and it froze as it was uploading. Just a blank screen nothing showing up. So tried to eject my disc and nothing happened wouldnt come out. So i pulled the mains plug and started it up again. Fair enough i messed up as the disc wernt in the machine anyways lol so was my fault i forgot i took it out, but worried it froze and worried about keep pressing the eject button when no disc was in it as i done it about 10 times.

Are they prone to freezing.....should i worry???? Many thanks

No, they are not prone to freezing.

I wouldn't worry about it

Certainly not in the same league as say the Xbox 360 but the early batches at least had a good few consoles that have had freezing and overheating(graphic chip) problems.

I have a launch NTSC machine and it does lock up fairly often, it has done since day one(didn't have any gaurantee as bought it from Argentina where they were unofficially imported in small numbers so no receipt), although it's still going, just need to reach for the reset now & again.

If it's still under gaurantee it might be worth thinking about returning it IMO.

I'm surprised to read that you're having issues with your NTSC console. I imported mine from VG+ in Canada and have had it since launch. I've never had any issue with it, not even once.
