System files corrupted?

Hi Folks,

I've been getting this message for a while. When I turn on the Wii it says the system files are corrupted, refer to manual. I can boot up in maintenence mode but in doing this I can play, but I can't go online.

Has anyone else had this problem, if so how did you get it fixed? I can't seem to find out too much information.

Thanks Rob

Thanks for the reply.

I've managed to sort it out now by doing a full reset. I was reluctant to do this as there were a couple of saves that I couldn't seem to back up (Mario Kart & Olympics) but I got there in the end and now all seems OK.

Version is 4.0E. I previously had the homebrew channel installed and I'm not sure whether it was this that caused the problem.

Cheers Rob.
