What do you think the chances are that Nintendo will ever release some original Gameboy games for the VC? Seeing as The Nintendo DS doesn't support the original larger grey carts, it would be a perfect excuse to let us play some original yellow gaming goodness. I'd love to see Super Mario Land for starters.

It would be good if you could download gameboy games for the DS, don't think i'd bother with monochrome blocky stuff on my big telly

Super Mario Land would look very odd on a big TV considering how basic the sprites looked way back then. If anything, Super Mario Land 2 would look much better. Same goes for Super Mario Land 3, and hopefully the games could be updated to be in colour instead of black and white (or black and yellow as some would say).
