Pilotwings - when will it come out??

One of my fave games on both the SNES and the N64 was pilotwings so I would love a VC version - any ideas when it will be out (if at all?

I think same situation as MarioKart(SNES), only Nintendo know the answer to that question, if it does release it'll probably just turn up out of nowhere with no prior warning.

Such a shame - fingers crossed it is because they are releasing a wii update version at some point

That hasn't been officially confirmed and is just a rumour at this point.

there's only a finite number of games they CAN release though, without completely scraping the barrel. I'd love to see Pilot Wings, I didn't get a chance to play it first time round because my parents wouldn't let me have a SNES (it wasn't a proper computer, you see). I'd also like to see Duck Hunt for the same reason.

I'm sure it'll get released one day, I imagine Nintendo have a few years left in the Wii yet, and they'll want to keep a few big guns for release towards the end of the console's lifetime.

I would not describe either Pilotwings games as "scraping the barrel". If you mean they need to be careful and not just release any old thing though, then I agree - Pilotwings is a true classic, amazing when you consider it was one of the launch titles for the Super Famicom (I think

). The N64 version was also brilliant.

Not meaning to upset anyone, but some of the stuff on the VC is utter dross (Altered Beast certainly springs to mind! Apologies if it is your all-time favourite), so if there is room for that then there is certainly room for Pilotwings... rant over

Pilotwings SNES will be available to download from 11pm (BST) on Thursday the 20th August 2009.

Wooooooot! The release of this makes me think Super Mario Kart may not be so far 'round the corner.

Though as I've said before, they'll probably release MK at the end of the Wii's life span.
