Wii VC and N64 games...

Hello,

I'm new to this VC milarky but I was wondering if there was a way of registering your old n64 games with nintendo so you can D/L the roms onto your Wii. They have serial numbers on them afterall ??

I have a new telly that only accepts digital signals so I can't play my old n64 anymore (unless I rake out an old video recorder and use that with a scart cable).

Basically I'd like to play some of these old n64 games on my Wii but don't see why I should have to pay £8 or whatever it is for the pleasure as I do own them anyway...

Please no info on how to hack these illegally.

And if there is no way then does anyone else think this is a bit cheeky of them and you should be able to do this, I'd imagine the serial number on each cartridge is unique so make it so you could only register each cartridge once.

info/thoughts please ??

Re: Wii VC and N64 games...

Unfortunately no .

It would be a great idea in theory but no games company does this (Sony doesn't with PS1 downloads/PSP remakes on thePSN......MS doesn't either).

It does mean you'd have to re-pay for them but tbh, if you have the original console, you simply have to continue using that as Ninty would rather you pay for the privelage of a re-download.
