Super Mario World SNES

Can anyone play this using the gamecube controller ?

It said that the game was compatible with both the gamecube and the classic controllers but after having downloaded it, it says i can only use the classic.

Any ideas ?

Re: Super Mario World SNES

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure it does work with the gamecube controller, but not very well. I haven't tried it myself but apparently the way the buttons are mapped makes it very difficult to perform a running jump and you don't get very far in Mario without being able to do those. You can't change the configuration either so I think most people who want to play it have had to get a Classic, which it works perfectly on.

^^ Spot on ^^

On the screen where the "you need a classic controller" appears just press 'A' or 'start' on the GC pad .. .. .. but really the classic is the only pad to use for SMW.

Re: Super Mario World SNES

I agree with the above.....the classic controller is the best one for SMG.
