No idea mate, had a quick look and says create a room, did so and just says waiting for friends. There is dialogue boxes to open so you can kind of talk to one another.

So if anyone sees am in a room just jump in and just take it from there.

if you look at the freinds option on mk your friend who is hosting a room flashes and tells you there is space to join simple and easy to manage its a welcome addition to the console i just need pro evo now then my wii is going to get some mutilplayer and gaming loving for a change

This was because the game was in the middle of loading... ie. ending a game, starting a new game etc. If you would have tried again in a minute you should have been able to join

First few online games against some randoms went well, but this friends codes thing isnt as easy as the 360 is it ?.

As regards the voice chat via 360, I can organise that as well if you decide to use a lobby.Got most, if not all of the usual suspects for multiplayer.

Yay I have Gary's little Mii dude up now so i'll see you at 9, my aim if to not come last, if I get manage that i'll be happy enough.

Some good games tonight guys, and some top players!! First time I've used Bowser, was normally a Luigi man, but think I'm gonna stay with Bowser

Can't belive how far ahead I was on the N64 Donkey Kong track!! And that last team game, leading with two corners to go and get hammered with a few shells and a star and limp over in 6th place.....c'est la vie I guess with this game

Its official, am totally pants at this game! If I drove like that in real life I would be pushing daisies!

Team GP was good and tho my team won I was propping them up. lol

That Rainbow track was doing my head in, don't know how many times I went off-track.

Noticed you just can't do single races which is no big deal as the GP makes up for it.

Lol you have to take the knocks with the wins in this game! Think it was the Bowser track was just about to cross the finish line in 1st, when I'm pipped to the post!!! Actually on the line!! lmao These dodgy last minute mushrooms!!

I have noticed the bikes wheelie-ing over the finish line, I take it that is a speed boost?

EDIT - Rainbow Road is a hard track, take your concentration off the road for one sec and you've had it. Wish they'd do the old SNES rainbow road that was the best version by far imo

Big thanks to the host as always, I missed the first 4 gp's as I was stuck in a "randoms" game waiting for them to pick a course ....... hmm decisions decisions lol.

If anyone sent me a message about adding me to their MK friends lists (when I first joined tonights game) I would appreciate a quick reminder so I can add you as well (messages seemed to be flying in all directions so it was difficult to keep track of who was saying what.

There is one corner on Rainbow road where it looks like it is bending the opposite direction to what it actually is. It's just after that bit with the two bigs holes in the middle of the track, I fell off a few times there.

Thought for sure I had the last race of the night on Koopa Beach in the bag leading all the until halfway round the last lap when I got mullered and ended up second from last or something daft.

So is this a weekly event now?.

I can't for the life of me get through one of those speed rings, it's right on the outside of the track so I just go flying off everytime, your kart has to be facing away from the outside of the track before you enter it but mine never is so I usually ignore it completely.

Sorry about that, I needed to keep you in sight AND beat you to take the overall points and had a sizeable dollop of luck just when I needed it.

Yep, since XBox Live came along I have enjoyed some fantastic games and some great moments, but Mario Kart for me has always been just one of those really special games and the chance to take it online now brings a whole new dimension.

Now if we can only get Ninty to agree to implement voice talk even if only for friends list games ? I suppose it's too much to ask for them to have a totally "open" system like XBox Live ?

I assume they are keeping the online side that much more anonymous and somewhat locked down, primarily due to the age group of a large percentage of their customers ............
