Is my Motion Plus sensor faulty?

Have had Wii Sports Resort and M+ sensor since it came out and only use it occasionally. But recently the console keeps asking for us to realign the sensor. This happens lots even with new batteries. I now have the rechargeable batteries and it still happens. This happens with both remotes.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

R U serious - this is normal? WOW! Does anybody else get this? Surely this is a bug or a fault. It's make gameplay totally impossible as we need to reset each handset about every 5-10 seconds.

Re: Is my Motion Plus sensor faulty?

I don't get it every few seconds, that would be crazy. I get it before I start any of the games, ie Swordplay.

Re: Is my Motion Plus sensor faulty?

FWIW I usually only get this when a new controller is registered with the game.

The recalibrate screen comes up when you pause the game, buttons aren't a bit sticky or being pressed when they shouldn't be?

Re: Is my Motion Plus sensor faulty?

have you locked it in place properly, I.E. using the little sliding switch on the back, maybe its coming loose every now and again (dodgy connection). thts the only thing I can think of

i only needto allain on first use of resort, i have not needed to do it twice yet.

However i dont think M+ lives upto the hype of 1:1 movement althou an improvement, may need to wait until wii 4 (yes4) or ps4 to get better motion
