No DIRT 2 reviews

I find it a bit strange that there are no DiRT 2 reviews for the wii. The 360 and PS3 reviews have been very good so I suspect that the wii game isnt so good and codemasters didnt want any attention taken away from those versions with poor wii reveiws.

Re: No DIRT 2 reviews

There is a review up now at the official Nintendo mag's site: Review: Colin McRae Dirt 2 - Official Nintendo Magazine
It could be that there's been a delay with magazine's etc getting their hands on the Wii version before the PS3 and 360 versions, hence no reviews. I do tend to find that there is a rather snobbish attitude towards the Wii though from official reviewers. I regularly buy Games Master magazine for example and I would say that overall, most of their Wii reviews and/or previews are negative.

Having said all that, the ONM gave it 78% and mostly grumbled about the poor Wiimote controls but that's usually the case with racing games on the Wii. I would imagine that most people would use the nunchuck method anyway.

I am tempted by this game so I may have to buy it in a few weeks.

Poor controls, worse graphics. 3rd party devs should stick to the 360/ps3 and leave ninty to develop for the wii.

YouTube - You're Insane!!!!

...seriously, you can't mean that? There are plenty of decent 3rd party offerings with good graphics and gameplay (Conduit, Heatseeker, De Blob, Endless Ocean etc etc), I don't think they should all stop because of the bad apples out there (yes, the graphics on this game are crappilicious I agree - shouldn't 'tar' other games though (imho)).

I agree with the first part of your statement it's more the motion control driving bit that sucks. I just can't seem to 'get on' with the whole "turn wiimote sideways and tilt to steer business", like in otherwise successful games like Excite Truck......even in Mario Kart I prefer the nunchuk/wiimote combo to the wheel (at least they give this option in Dirt 2).
....and what was their excuse for no online? Yet another reason to opt for the PS3/360 versions (I have been tempted by this on PS3 myself but am holding out for GT5 when it arrives in 2023 sometime ).

the graphics feel clunky, the controls are not responsive for me. cant get used to the steering wheel type control and prefer traditional wiimote/nunchuk like Gaffer. I like Ferrari challenge though.
