wii sports resort levelling up

Really enjoying the game but have a question. I have noticed that when you play any of the swordplay games e.g. duel and slice on "multiplayer mode" you dont appear to get skill points , same as a few others e.g. cycling. Where as you do on one player and on multiplayer wakeboarding for example. Is this right ? if so slightly dissapointed as although its fun playing on muliplayer , by having the skill points it just gives that added incentive an life to the game. Or otherwise its a case of playing on one palyer to level up. Is this deffinately the case as i was sure with "slice multiplayer mode in swordplay" you do level up. can Anyone shed any light on this?

thankyou

This may help. Or may not.

I haven't played those games yet, but this sounds an awful lot like when playing Tennis and/or Bowling on Sports.

You'll get ranking points on Bowling whether there's one person playing or four. Because you're effectively playing against a set target of 300 (ignoring who wins within your game).

With Tennis, you'll only get points when you play the Wii-players as it's the only way the Wii can score you. If you play Human v Human you could cheat, and so no ranking points can be awarded.
