I was just checking to see if there had been any developments in relation to a cricket game on the WII and i found this:

Ashes Cricket Lands on Nintendo Wii at C3 News



Woohoo - anyone else heard much about this? Its due out in August by all accounts, a month after the ashes starts but who cares if it lives upto expectations. I hope it uses the new motion plus, would be quality. I just hope its been worth the wait!

I was thinking the other day that WM+ would be perfect platform for a Cricket game, I haven't seen any mention of it being compatible with this game though.

Bad news for those looking forward to using WM+

Doesn't sound great, does it? Think I'll stick to the 360 version for this one.

Hopefully, if there's another one they'll make it motionplus compatible.

I think we'll need EA to do the WM+ version - they've done a good job on TW10 golf. Shame we won't get anything for this summer though.

So anyone got this game yet? First impressions? Cheapest price at the moment? How much are Asda selling the game for? I know they are doing the ps3/360 version for £25

Played it for 5 minutes. Now back in the box. Will probably move it on quite sharply as it's just not cricket.

Utter rubbish! Correct me if im wrong but the year is 2009. So why on earth have they release this 1990's Brian Lara tosh?

And possibly the worst tutorial you'll ever see. I wanted to stick the game in the oven at gas mark 9 after 2 mins.

I agree, a real shame they choose to bring up out early without the motion plus, wonder if they are developing it up already?

Bowling; moving your hand as you bowl to affect spin/ swing, and even length. Could even have other friends running around and throwing in as the outfield!

Batting; move your control to simulate a drive, swing, or a simple tap, maybe even running to the crease!

Um, by the time you've moved your telly and Wii into the garden to make enough room wouldn't you be better off playing the real thing?

As a huge cricket fan I've long been waiting for a cricket game on the Wii.
Unfortunately 've yet to read a positive review for the game....
