Release Us Out now
Release Uk Out now?

The original psone game was remade for the gamecube and this is that version re-released on the wii, it’s pretty much the same game just with Wii controls.
Unlike Resident evil 0 this one is coming to the uk and us.

Re: Resident evil: Archives

Up until now, this is the one and only reason I would buy a Wii. Loved the original on PS1 and the remake on the GC was in my top 3 games of that generation. Forget RE5, with it's strictly linear game play and lack of decent puzzles. This is real survival horror gaming.

Just a real shame, it's not coming to the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Re: Resident evil: Archives

I bought this game today as I'm getting to know the Resi series all over again (I've only played the original one on the PS1, shockingly!). I already have Resi 4 Wii edition and the controls are the same as on that pretty much. For people who haven't played or like me, only part-played any of the Resi games then this is a good place to start. I suspect the Wii-controls won't really add much for people who've already played this the first time round so it's not so much of a must-buy purchase in that case.

JENeric, I'm sure that the original Resi games are (or will be) available on the PSN. Unless of course you want to check out how it handles on the Wiimote.

AfxTwn I know the original PSone RE is on PSN (at least in the US store) but haven't heard anything about the GC remake, which is what the Wii version is. Would love it if I could download it and play it all over again. People keep going on about the awkward controls of the order RE games, but it doesn’t take too long to get used to them. Just a pity they didn't include a widescreen option in the new version.

Anyway, enjoy the game.

Re: Resident evil: Archives

The original Resident Evil is the reason that I bought a PS1 all those years ago, god I loved that game!

Cant believe this game is in 4:3 with horrible big black borders either side! Very poor in my opinion. I had to turn it off after 20 mins.
