Re: Need for Speed Nitro

Joystiq had a hands-on with this game recently for anyone interested.

Joystiq hands-on: Need for Speed Nitro

Graphics do look very, um, stylized, perhaps we need to see it in motion to appreciate it

One thing that never fails to amaze me with so many Wii games:

Unfortunately, Nitro doesn't offer any online gameplay ... yet. Pollack explained, "We wanted to get the core experience down first and then see what we could add to it. Maybe in the second one."
Can't believe that this far into the life of the console and 9 times out of ten we still have to wait for franchise sequels before we see any online modes Rules this one well and truly out for me as these days some form of online should be just a given in a racer IMO.

Agree, online play is a must for this type of game.

Colin Mccrae Dirt 2 (or something) is out later this year, not sure if that can/would have an online mode but fingers crossed.

Yeah, good to see Codemasters aren't negelecting the Wii this time around with DiRT 2. There's no reason it couldn't be fantastic(after all when you look back to the Xbox and Rallisport Challenge 2 it shows what the Wi ishould be capable of, or able to come close to).

At least you'll have ExciteBots to look forward to also which we know is online and apparently pretty flawless from what I've read(be receiving my copy next week)
