Escaping BT

Given a situation with BT Broadband Voice and the Voyager 220V they supply with analogue phone sockets is it possible to escape BT? There doesn't appear to be a way of linking through to another VoIP service and the router, which can connect to two PCs simultaneously using Ethernet and USB, will only work with BT's VoIP.

Is this really the case or have I missed something?

Thanks in advance,
Robert
