Using a video sender from a V+ box

Is there any particular type or model of video sender that works with a V+ box?

I'm assuming outputting from the VCR Scart socket as opposed to the TV Scart is the correct way to go about it.

Re: Using a video sender from a V+ box

I use a tevion video sender, its connects via TV scart output of the V+ box, if you connect it via the DVD/VCR scart it will work but you will loose the on screen text so it would make it pretty much useless.

Also the thing to remember is you will have to switch over from HDMI to Scart output on the V+ box as the TV scart is disabled when in HDMI mode & and as I said using the vcr scart is pretty much useless as you lose all the V+ functionability.

Its also recommended to use a 5.8ghz video sender so you dont get interference from other equipment, mines a 2.4ghz sender the only thing that interferes with it is my wireless router but I just switch it off when I go to bed.

I hope that all made sense.

Cheers
Shaun

Is this still the case? I read claims that TV Scart (RGB) is now enabled when HDMI selected after an update in the summer. Cant try myself no longer have a sender.

I use HDMI to my main TV so it will have to be the VCR socket, I'm not sure what you mean by losing functionality, all I want to do is send the video and sound to another TV.

I know they enabled the DVD/VCR scart in an update when in HDMI mode, not sure about the TV Scart tho, I'l try it later and see if it works, it would be great if it does.

edit.
just tried from the tv scart whilst in HDMI, didnt work.

if you are using HDMI then you must be using the HDMI port from your V+ box to your TV using a HDMI lead.

When your V+ box is set to HDMI the TV scart is disabled but you can use the VCR scart output for your video sender but just for sound & picture, what I mean by losing functionality is you wont be able view any text menus although you can still use the rewind, forward & pause feature from the remote control.

Re: Using a video sender from a V+ box

my "TV Scart" is now working while at the same time as HDMI (although hdmi is only in 576i).

I've started a thread, as assume this is a virgin update.
