Come on folks one of you knowledgeable chaps must know

Hope someone out there can help,

My V+ box has chucked a Paddy and Virgin can't come out till next week to fix it, does anyone know how to fix the following.

V+ box is HDMI'd to big telly in lounge but also feeds a 2nd telly elsewhere in house through the VCR scart output, all was working fine until suddenly the Scart output stopped outputting pictures but still outputs sound, It won't go onto standby its always on unless I pull the plug and at the same time all the interactive stuff such as the V+, the Home button, help button, pause, rewind etc etc have also stopped working although all the channels and the mini guide thing are working fine. I have a 2nd virgin box (normal not V+) up the stairs and it is working fine, even the interactive stuff.

I have checked all leads (even replacing them one at a time) and connections and all seem O.K. have done all the reset / power off stuff and nothing has changed.

Please help as I'm well ****** off as all the new Top Gears are on the hard disk and I have not had chance to watch them yet.

Cheers

Nothing to worry about there. They will be repeated on BBC3 and endlessly on Dave!

Have you tried looking at the remote to see if a button is stuck.

Remote working fine with all non interactive and V+ stuff, checked all buttons and batteries and are fine, even the buttons on the box itself are not working so its the functions themselves as opposed to the buttons.

No error messages it boots up fine, forgot to mention it won't turn onto standby so its always on aswel as all other stuff.
