HDMI and SCART simultaneously

Is it possible to use V+ box to output HD via HDMI and SD via SCART at the same time?

Re: HDMI and SCART simultaneously

Possibly a useless comment but SKY HD lets you do this so I dont see why the V+ box would be much different.

Re: HDMI and SCART simultaneously

Yes, you can output with HDMI and from the composite SCART socket (I think labelled VCR on the V+ box) not the RGB socket.

You could do this, and then you couldn’t, now you can again. They keep changing their mind. They said it was for technical reasons they had at one time disabled it but I think it was to stop people using AV senders to send the picture to other TVs to encourage you to get a second box.

By the way if you do intend on using an AV sender off the composite SCART you won’t get the menus so you will have to guess when changing the channels from another room, and with the response times of the V+ box you may well find yourself having to go back to the main TV to see how V+ has interpreted your button presses.

I used to do this but upgraded to the VIP package which includes a second regular STB and this has worked out much better for me.
