Pixellation 23:58-00:10 nightly BBC only?

Anyone have any idea why every night for the last week at least, the main BBC channels through the v-box have gone pixellated on the dot of 23:58, and then cleared 12 minutes later. There is the occasional small flicker later, but this very obvious 'window of disturbance' around midnight.

The BBC 'audio description' channels are unaffected as are the regional ones with the exception of BBCAnglia, which, with News24 is affected like BBC1, 2, 3 & 4.

Virgin support say they have no idea why the BBC should be singled out in this way, and are trying to make recordings for themselves at this time to see if they can duplicate the problem.

We are in the Luton area.

Anyone else experiencing the same phenomenon?
If not: anyone have any suggestions as to what might be interferring locally at midnight and why it should affect most BBC channels but no-one elses?

Very odd!

Regards,
S
