Pace 1000 RGB Scart to Component probs.

Hi, I'm trying to get my Pace 1000 box to work with a RGB Scart out put to a Component/RGB input.
I've tried to connect it with the 2 items below to a LG LCD & a Panny plasma but with no joy.

Any ideas why niether work & is any body using a suitable cheap adaptor?

Andy

Re: Pace 1000 RGB Scart to Component probs.

Not quite sure what you are trying to do.

If you simply want the STB to output RGB to a TV via SCART and the TV has a SCART input which will take RGB then just stick a fully wired SCART cable in ( the ones from Poundland work fine ) and make sure both the STB and the TV are configured for RGB on the menu.

If you set the Pace STB to RGB but leave the TV set to composite, then the STB will automatically revert to composite - well mine does and it's a 1010T so it should be very similar to yours.

I am doubtful whether a RGB -> component (ie YPbPr ) converter will make any difference to quality as commonsense says you can't add stuff back in that isn't there any more. So YPbPr input may well be the best if your device has that as an output (e.g. some DVD players) but simply converting between the two is only useful to connect devices which have incompatible inputs/outputs.

Re: Pace 1000 RGB Scart to Component probs.

Hi, I'm after just a scart rgb to component converter. The reason why those 2adapters didn't work is that they were for a scart that could out put a component signal, so they were not a converter but just a adapter.
