Switching to Virgin from Sky - cabling question

I've currently got Sky HD and for a number of reasons I'm switching to Virgin.
Question is we have a HD box downstairs and this is linked to the RF out to a TV upstairs with a magic eye, on top of that we also have a standard coax cable coming out of the standard sky aerial socket to feed a tv in the conservatory.
If we swap the sky box for a v+ box would we be able to use the existing cabling?
I know I will need a replacement magic eye thingumajig as well but was hoping to avoid any other costs

Re: Switching to Virgin from Sky - cabling question

there is someone on here who has had same problems try a few searches. I cant remember the exact outcome but i think you cant get a pic from RF and HDMI at the same time.
why not get a normal V box put in one of the other rooms? Its only £5 a month and means you should loose the charge for having the v+ box installed.

Just wait a minute.

An extra V box is just £5 a month?

How much is a V+ box a month?

No you cant. but if you have an extra standard box then you can watch 2 different channels in two different rooms (eg if your wife is watching some crap like Next top model when the football is on)
