virgin media transer fee when moving house

is anybody aware of what the charge would be to transfer the virgin media package when moving house?

when i originally signed up to virgin several months ago, the salesman that knocked on the door assured me that the service would be moved with me for free - but ive just read the terms and conditions and it mentions a transfer fee, so it looks like he was telling porkies!!

i cant be bothered being queued up for an eternity trying to get through to customer services, so i just wondered if anyone knows what the cost would be?

cheers

Re: virgin media transer fee when moving house

I've moved my service 3 times in 15 months and never been charged. You effectively start a new contract and can therefore take advantage of all their latest deals. During one move I upgraded to V+ and they never charged anything for the install, even though I was moving into a new build and they had to install the cables from the street.

See what you can get out of them.
