trying to get a decent picture from my ntl box

Hi There,

Iv'e got a silver Ntl samsung box with scart out, trying to connect it to my Hitachi pj-tx 100 projector. iv'e already tried scart to svideo but as others have posted on these forums i got a bad b/w picture. Will Component RGB work if not what about VGA, there's got to be something other than crappy composite.

thanks for looking

david

It is possible to use s-video but you will need a powered scart to s-video converter such as the one from Keene Electronics. I have such a system and it works fine

As Accylad says you need a genuine RGB scart to s-video convertor since a scart-s-video lead only works if the STB outputs s-video via scart (many don't), that aside a RGB scart to component convertor will also get results.

JS Technology also makes these products.
