Can anyone point me in the direction of the spec for the NTL Hi Def set top box, please. I understand it should be available in August. Thanks.

We would like to know. I think its just a rumour at the moment. Understand they they are not likely to bring in a service until 2007 when there might be more material available than there is at present.

Didn't Telewest buy out NTL? If that's the case then it would make sense for them to use similar infrastructure?

Yeh, thanks for the replies. The reason I asked, was because NTL rang me today and tried to sell me phone service on top of my broadband, so I quizzed them about HD and they said the set-top box would be out late August. I asked them to send me info, but I thought that you guys might be able to give some advance information. Ta.
btw, the box will be rented, not bought as per $ky, as I understand, and will show Beeb HD stuff.
Any more info would be most welcome..

and the SATA and USB host are disabled for the time being remember...
Not too bothered about the SATA, but the USB would be amazing to plug an external drive into, instead of running back and to with .avi discs!
