Unable to set up HD picture with Panasonic PV500 and Telewest TVDive-HELP!!!

Hi

Just connected the PV500 to telewest TV Drive via HDMI and scart(intial set up and picture ok using scart to av4).
Using TVDRIVE instructions to test the screen by changing tv display format to highdef and 720p and then the test ,the HD screen comes up and then disapperas .
I then follow instructions and do not change the settings as the next message says that if you do not see the screen or it disappers after a few seconds do not apply settings.

Can anybody help-trying to get HD world cup

You need to press TEXT on the remote to lock the output to HDMI

But you have to be quick, as the Panasonic can take an age to switch from Composite to HDMI

Goes something like this

Change TVD to HD - 720p

Screen goes blank, switch TV over to HDMI input, hopefully in time to catch the message asking if you can see it, press text

Go back to Composite on TV and it will say the "did you see.." message

manually switch tv input over to HDMI
HD TVD settings menu comes up for 5 seconds then goes blank
tried pressing TEXT button here but nothing and no question re the button "TEXT"

Before calling customer support, try the following (all done via TVDrive front panel - NOT remote control)

1 Press the RESET button
2 Immediately press and hold the STOP and PLAY buttons on the front panel, until BOOT appears on the panel
3 Wait until OUTPUT is displayed on front panel, then use FF to select between HDMI and SCART
4 Press OK
5 The system will now reboot into the new video mode

If you get no picture via HDMI, use the same procedure to reset to SCART.

Hope this helps

Trevor

Swicth to HD

Try this

Switch your TV to Scart
Select 720p
Picture goes black (do not switch to HDMI)
Wait until picture returns
Say Yes
Picture goes black
Press text
Switch TV to HDMI

If it goes pear shape use the instructions above to get back to Scart.

You're missing the final swap over. As everyone has said:

Change to 720p
Yes
Change to HDMI - goes black
Change to the other channel
Change back to HDMI where it will ASK you to press the text button.

You are just pressing text when it doesn't ask for it, instead of going back to your alternative TV channel
