ntl pace scart/rca/rgb/projector issues!

hello!

I have an ntl pace cable box that has 2 scart outputs, 1 labelled tv and 1 vcr. if i plug the tv scart connection into the back of my 14inch tvs scart connection it works fine. BUT this is not the tv i want to use, i also have a sharp projector and yamaha amp that I would like to run my cable through. i have always run my cable (analogue) and xbox though the amp using RGB and its always worked fine, now i have a new cable box (digital) which only has scart and it wont work. neither the projector or the amp have a scart imput so i have tried to use a scart to rca xbox convertor which didnt work and i have also tried a specific scart to rca (red, green and white) and this just wont work either.

i have tried changing the setting on the cable from composite to rgb on both projector and cable box still no joy

i have read other threads on this subject and i see the other option is scart to 6 pin but i dont think i would be able to plug this in anywhere. i have several inputs on the projector, can i get some sort of scart to svideo with seperate audio cable? anybody have any ideas, this has already taken up most of my weekend and my girlfriend is getting very angry.
