Red face Pretty Good so far

Hi
Got my box fitted Tuesday, using Sony Bravia 40inch LCD ,with HDMI lead, left shift is still there, and dig 5.1 is not in the menu, over all good box HD on teleport life looks good. All we need now is the 5.1 upgrade.

Have been using Tivo for 5 Years, some things are better some not, but hey its early days, just need a HDMI switch box now

Would love to know when exactly "Mid April" actually is.....

The fact that trialist have received a fix that works is encouraging, though

To be honest, Im sick of calling Telewest for an update. This forum has given me more of a heads-up than the stupid bitches at Telewest.

Latest response was:

Use your SCART lead for HD until we sort the HDMI issue out

TELEWEST, if you want me to come to site to train your staff in HD and HD cable issues, you can book me for 600 pounds a day. I'll make your girls feel so good with my good looks and witty charm

Peace
Mass

i Have the same frustration, but if the TW call op's and engineers are poorly informed and trained, then that's the fault of their employer for not training them ie the managers....

Anyway, TW effectively paid me 50 quid for me to train their engineer for 20 mins in how to install the HDMI cable and the difference between HD and HDMI (ie the refunded my install charge).

If they want to send round more engineers on a saturday, every 20 mins at 50 quid a pop, i'm happy to arrange appointments i'll even throw in a cup of tea...

Yeah it is getting to be a pain in the ass ringing up watchin forum responses just to get things fixed that should have been eliminated in the trial
Things like use scart for HD are a joke and are just customer services fobbing you off
So far ive had £20 off the install and 1 month off the tv drive subscription and was told to ring back mid April if things arnt fixed
