Can anyone whos got the TVDrive kicking let me know what the box is like to operate, I have standard Cable at the moment but find the box slow and a pain in the ass to be honest, the software is horrible compared to sky. Please tell me TVDrive is an improvement! Also, is there any HD content with Telewest yet?

Hi Mate

I find the menus a little quicker than the standard cable box, but still pretty slow.

The look and feel of the menus is very much as before, but with extra bits, such as the 8 day tv guide, teleport life (for HD) and the TV Drive.

I find that the TVdrive recording bit works very well and is extremely easy to use, especially the "record series" function. I have never had sky plus, but imagine it to be similar to that.

There has been sin city on HD, but that seems to have gone. Otherwise there are a few free documentaries and the PQ on some look fantastic.

More HD PPV films will come soon and with dolby 5.1, but i don't know when.

Thanks mate for the help, I hate the damn sw for the current box , sooooooooooo sllllllllllowwwwwwwwwwwwww! I still think Ill choose this over skyhd tho due to the obvious 300 quid price!

Cool. Giving it some more thought, the TV drive and Teleport menus are much quicker than the TV channel navigation, but still not "lightening"

there is really no more thought to give, im not forking out 300quid to them thieves at Sky when in a year it will be 50quid and 10 times more HD content available!! haha

As long as its an improvement on the standard cable boxes, there reaction speed (or at least mine is) is so annoying!
