I've got a bit of an annoying problem with my ntl box and hoped someone might have the answer.

I've got an NTL stb connected to my 26" sammy which works fine once it gets going. The trouble is that when I first turn my tv on I takes several minutes for the ntl remote to stop flashing red at me when I press a button and actually change channels as requested.

After a while the remote works fine and all is well but then if i turn the tv off and back on again I have to go through the same waiting game again. I've used a code on the ntl remote that means it can now turn the tv off and alter volume etc but the slow startup problem is still there

any help would be much appreciated
