Whitch Netgear wireless device with Telewest Broadband

I may be looking to get telewest broadband at home soon and through work i can get the wireless PCI card for my PC and also a choice of either the 'NetGear WPN824 RangeMax wireless router' or the 'NetGear WPN802 RangeMax Wireless Access Point'.

My question is..........as telewest will be already providing their router do i opt for the NetGear WAP instead of the NetGear wireless Router?

Thanks

I believe Telewest only supply the cable modem, thats what they did with my install ( admitedly some years ago now ). That being the case however you would need the router.

Confirm with Telewest if they are supplying a cable modem and router or just the modem.

It will probably be just a cable modem.
On Netgear stuff i have an WGT624 and it's fine, but if you need to make any changes to the configuration i.e. set up port forwarding, it's has to do a reboot for each change made, each reboot taking about 2 minutes at least. So it becomes a bit of a pain if you need to make a few changes.

Get the Wireless Router anyway. Telewest don't supply wireless routers, they do supply a wireless kit, but it only supports one PC.
