If I cancel Telewest will they come for the STB??

Hi all,

I currently have Telewest digital TV , Blueyonder + Telephone package.

I was thinking about changing my TV to SKY while still keeping the telephone + internet package with Telewest.

Will Telewest come for the STB if I cancel the TV package??

If not , can I still get the basic TV channels from the STB? e.g BBC +ITV

The Telewest box remains the property of Telewest, unfortuantly they do want it back from you if you cancel their services or they will bill you for it.

When I lived in Bristol they came out to collect it and in Bristol I had to send it back myself.

however as part of the cable liscence they have to carry analogue 1-5 on the cable infrastructure so while STB goes back you can just cut/pull the F connector of the telewest cable and fit an aerial plug and use that on TV's internal tuner...
All becuase Mrs Thatcher didnt like aerials and dishes on roof tops.....
