Re: whats the difference between the V+ boxes

If you have read up by searching on here then you will see tht the Jury is still out on this with mixed opinions on both. I would still stick with the SA until some Samsung aspects are settled or I have some direct experience of it which as yet I haven't.

Big plus for the samsung however is epg on second scart in HDMI mode. Very useful if you want to watch other than on main TV. Big minus (I believe as not my bag ) is audio out.

As for speed and upscaling...........????

General consensus of opinion is that Samsung are the better box to have and I support that after having 4 SA boxes go wrong in a very short period of time, since they fitted a Samsung everything has been ok they have dropped the phono socket outputs from the back of the Samsung but it a minor problem as far as Im concerned, the Samsung works a lot faster than the SA too ...you cannot go for which box you get,you have what the engineer has on his van period .....some areas seem to have a shortage of Samsung boxes ...Apart from the component out sockets missing from the Samsung there is no difference as far as Im concerned, they are both great boxes, trouble is the SA seems to get a lot more problems ......
