Re: Have V+, want to burn recorded programs onto dvd....

Hi

Connect the V+VCR scart to a DVD recorder. Go to V+, V+ Extras, copy to VCR/DVD. Select programme (s) to be copied and follow instructions.

Note if you are not using a DVDR with a hard disk then do not copy much more than 2 hours at a time.

Some say that the VCR scart on the V+ only feeds composite but my DVDR says its RGB which has been confirmed by a couple of other members. So try setting the scart input on your DVDR to RGB.

Sorry in advance for thread hijack. Is there any other type of device (preferably memory based) that can be connected to the V+ scart socket for "archiving" recordings? - I don't really want to buy a bulky DVD recorder just to archive the occasional recording.

Thanks

Whatever the device then it would require a SCART input. The VCR SCART output on the V+ box is the only output that remains active if using HDMI. The box itself offers no means by which to output digital files to an external device. You cannot hook the box up to a computer and access the V+ box's hard drive or transfer files digitally from the hard drive to another device. All output of recorded media is done in real time.

I appreciate the feedback on this matter as I was also keen to know. Thanks
