anyone else had this?

been recording it off 4HD on my V+ box

just watched the last 2 recordings and there both based at night, with the dark scenes the picture seems to flicker lighter and darker shades.

also happened on my recording of flashforward.

any one had this? need to figure out if its my Virgin box or the new TV ive just bought.

not noticed it on anything else yet, not happened on live TV, blu ray or Xbox (but this could just be that i've not come across the right dark scenes yet)

I would say its your tv thats giving the problem,some tv's have whats called enhanced tv or similar names,that try to give the best possible picture in any given circumstance, but anyhing shot at night is always going to cause problems for these sets because the light situation is changing all the time and it simply cannot keep up with that,hence the flickering, .....don't know if you have one of these tv's or not, if you do then you might be able to turn off the enhancement feature perhaps ?

I don't have any source for this info for you, its just how I have read into things .....

cheers for reply bud, yep all enhancements already turned off so it aint that.

was happening on Im a (Z list) Celebraty as well, when it wasn't even that dark on that!

gonna test a few blu rays, make sure its not the V+ box first before i send the TV back
