Installation of V+ - What does Virgin do?

Hi,

Virgin is going to install V+ in our flat. I just wonder whether they need to run any new cables through the flat for which I would need permission from our landloard. We currently have the normal Virgin cable service. Can the same cables be used for V+? What are they going to do and how long will it take?

Thanks for your replies.

As long as it's in the same room as the point on your wall you'll have no problems!

I mean:
Does the cables (running from the spot where Virgin cables enter our flat to the new V+ box) need to be replaced? Do they have to install new splitters?

They will just need to switch the box and then activate your new card.
If the old box worked fine then nothing else will need to be done. If it didnt then they may need to tweak the power levels but unless the old cable was faulty they wont want to replace it.

yep, old cable will be up to the job - if the box isnt going to be relocated somewhere else hell love you as he will just swap the boxes , register the card and adjust some settings - 30 mins tops
