Need Help. Problem with either V+ box or Reciever

I have a problem with sudden picture and sound loss when watching TV via V+ box. Its only for a second but viewing becomes unbearable.

I have a SONY STRDG820 Reciever connected to Samsung 7 Series 40" LCD

PS3 connected via HDMi
DVD player connected via HDMi
V+ Box connected via HDMi

When using the PS3 or DVD player NO Black outs occur at all. This only happens with the V+ box.

I have tried changing the cable
I have moved the V+ to another HDMi port on the reciever

I still had the same problem. So it definately pointed to the V+ box
However i just tried connecting the V+ box Directly to the TV and no black outs have occured since.

IS IT A PROBLEM with the V+ BOX or RECIEVER????

ITS DRIVING ME MAD

Re: Need Help. Problem with either V+ box or Reciever

Well, you've answered your own question IMO. If the V+ box is fine when connected directly to your TV then it must be OK. It almost certainly would be in Virgin Media's eyes so I don't think there is anything they would do about it.

The receiver may be OK too - it might be some incompatibility between the two. Have you tried changing any HDMI settings in the V+ menus?

Your TV has multiple HDMI inputs - does the V+ have to go through the receiver?

Re: Need Help. Problem with either V+ box or Reciever

Well i have and i haven't answered it

IT a problem between the 2 devices which doesn't help in rectifying the issue. If say other people had similar issues with the V+ box, i could phone Virgin and replace the box. With the Receiver its the same issue.

It surely must be the V+ box but there isn't anything concrete

Although i can connect directly to the TV, it is not ideal and would be
avoiding the issue rather than solving

Virgin replaced the Box in the end. All working fine now.
