I have just had my V+ box replaced with a Samsung box.
As the Samsung doesn't have the red and white phono sockets on, the engineer said (and a post somewhere on this forum suggested it too) to use a scart-to-phono adapter plugged into the VCR scart socket on the samsung box and then plug the red and white leads from my surround system into this. I tried this but still cannot get any sound from the V+ box through the surround system.
V+ box to TV is via a HDMI cable.
Any idea's please?
Thanks. |
You'd have to use the SCART marked as VCR out. The TV out SCART is deactivated when HDMI is in use. You could also use your TV's audio out (if it has one) to your amp. If only dealing with analogue audio output, ensure to turn HDMI audio override to OFF in the V+ box's settings. If you've an AV amp with optical audio input, use the optical output from the V+ box to this rather than using analogue. The optical connection is preferable because you'll get DolbyDigital 5.1 audio via this, but if using the optical then you will also need to turn HDMI audio override to ON.
