Virgin media - broadcasting at 60fps?

Hi,

We have a standard (cheap) V set-up box and during the past week I have noticed that moving images have become much smoother and the motion is life-like (as if you were on the filming stage). I'm guessing that our box is outputting images at a much higher frame rate than that you would normally expect.

I'm wondering if anyone else has also experienced an improvement in the visual qualiy of SD broadcasts?

I'm sure it will only be outputing in 25fps - standard for PAL TV. Your TV might be refreshing more than that to make moving pictures seem smoother.

Hope that helps!
