Question Possible to connect V box to PC speakers?

Hi, im just trying to get the sound to play through some old Logitech Z3 pc speakers, it only has a 3.5mm male jack for input.

I've tried using the TV headphone slot but the sound was super quiet, tv also has no audio phono out jacks.

So i've moved my attention to the v box, would it be possible to use an optical audio to 3.5mm adapter such as this to play the sound through the speakers?

No that would not do a digital to analogue conversion. If the V box you have has phono outs use those, if not use a Scart out to phono lead then a phono to 3.5mm adaptor.

Ok so even though the tv is connected to the v box by 1 of the scart sockets already, it would still pump out the sound to the second scart socket?
