Finally a silent V+ Box

This is just a quick one, had a fault on our V+ service over the last
week or so, on-demand not working properly.

Engineer round last night, fault found with the box, swapped for new Samsung
box, and guess what.....its silent...... ya no more clicking no more grinding
at last. from the moment we swapped our old old silver TV drive for the black
one, I've been on and off the phone to virgin complaining about the noise of
the thing, finally had to give up as every box swapped over was noisy.!

as everybody else has mentioned its quicker...so much quicker, has a
sharper menu and picture , but you can forget all that......its silent.!!!!!!!!!!

....oh and the original problem of on-demand not working..also fixed.!!!

Re: Finally a silent V+ Box

How do the SD channels look compared to the SA V+ (TVDrive)?

Re: Finally a silent V+ Box

The pic quality on the SA V+ was good, upscaled lovely IMO, but it
seems to be slightly sharper on the Samsung.

that might just be from viewing the visibly sharper menu page
therefore giving the impression that the main pic is sharper. but thinking
about it if the menu page is better then the main pic must also be better?

sorry ask me again....i'll just say yes the overall pic is slightly better SD&HD..
